The Home Chore Volunteer Program was developed in 1986 to assist limited income adults who are 60 and older, with basic home chores to help them remain independent and in their own home. The program includes individual volunteers, families and groups interested in doing a volunteer project for older adults. The program is run by four Madison Senior Coalitions, each representing and serving a region of Madison: North/Eastside Senior Coalition, East Madison/Monona Coalition of the Aging, South Madison Coalition of the Elderly, West Madison Senior Coalition.
